Q. I am afraid to go to the dentist, but I know I should.  What can I do?

A. Talk to your dentist about your fears.  By developing a relationship with your dentist, you are also involving yourself in the treatment plan.  Your dentist will ensure that every comfort measure is taken for your comfortable visits to create your new smile.  Your dentist can also discuss options that will help you relax and feel more comfortable during your visit.

Q. How often should I visit the dentist?

A. The idea of regular checkups lies in prevention (to prevent disease, decay, and subsequent tooth loss).  The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends visits to the dentist at least once every six months for a professional exam and cleaning.

A. Our offices are conveniently located in the cities of San Bernardino and Murrieta. Please check out our page of locations with driving directions and our page of appointments to start your treatment today.

 

Q. Are you accepting new patients?

A. Yes, we are accepting new patients.  We would like to welcome new patients to our offices in San Bernardino or Murrieta, either one. Whether it is your first time visiting a dentist, you are new to San Bernardino or Murrieta & looking for a new dentist, someone referred you to us or you just want to change your current dentist.  We firmly believe in providing a comfortable environment for you and encourage you to share any concerns or questions regarding your dental health with us. 

 

Q. Do you offer flexible appointments?

A. Yes, we offer flexible appointments. In keeping with our customer service-oriented philosophy, we offer convenient appointment times to fit into your busy lifestyle.  Visit the section of appointments or call us at 951-677-2115 in the city of Murrieta or at 909-882-7686 in the city of San Bernardino to find an appointment time that is convenient for you.  Early morning, evening and one weekend every month appointments are also available, please inquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

 

Q. How do I change or cancel an appointment?

A. If you are unable to keep your appointment or you are going to be late, please call and notify our office in advance.  To cancel an appointment, PLEASE NOTIFY US AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE.  
A broken appointment is a loss to everyone and a phone call is a courtesy that will allow us to be available to other patients in need of care.

 

Q. What types of payment do you accept?

A. Payment is expected at the time services are performed.  In an effort to provide easy and comfortable payment arrangements, we offer the following payment methods:

When extensive dental care is necessary or when dental insurance is involved, financial arrangements can be made. Please inquire with us about our financing plans.  Our primary concern is well-being.

 

Q. Do you accept insurance?

A. Yes, we accept most dental insurance plans.  Please keep in mind that it is important that YOU read your dental insurance policy and booklet carefully to maximize your individual benefits.  Your policy is a contract between YOU and YOUR insurance company to improve your dental health. Most dental insurance plans have policy limitations in dental treatment and payment for treatment.  Your insurance policy may not cover all dental services and may only pay a portion of the total cost of your dental treatment.  Please call our office and we will be happy to check on your particular plan.  After your first visit we accept assignment of benefits paid by your insurance company. Financial arrangements are available to assist YOU in the payment of your bill.

 

Q. What should I do in case of a dental emergency?

A. At Family Dentistry, we are committed to the highest level of care for our patients.  During a dental emergency, immediate action can help ease pain and prevent permanent damage.  If you have a true dental emergency involving bleeding, severe pain or swelling, please contact us immediately to schedule an emergency appointment as soon as possible and we will do our utmost to attend to you at the earliest opportunity.
